Sophie Pepin is a Senior Data Analyst at Recidiviz. Previously, Sophie worked as a data analyst at Leapfrog Power, a software startup that aims to decarbonize the world’s electric grids by connecting distributed energy resources to wholesale energy markets. She supported the growth of the data analyst team from two to ten people by improving tooling, standardizing ways of working, and collaborating closely with product and engineering teams. Outside of work, Sophie loves to engage with local San Francisco city politics, volunteer as a Court-Appointed Special Advocate for foster youth, backcountry snowboard, and play Dungeons and Dragons. She holds a B.S. in Chemical Engineering from the University of Southern California (Fight On!).
A diverse, equitable, and inclusive workplace is essential to our mission. People come to Recidiviz to contribute to an urgent cause, and to work alongside incredible coworkers who care as much as they do. To ensure that we’re building intentional products and amplifying the work of others in the reform ecosystem, we are committed to fostering a diverse team that reflects the people we serve.
We combine the efficiency of a tech company with the heart of a non-profit. Recidiviz began as a volunteer project at Google and has since grown into one of the brightest, kindest teams that civic tech has to offer. Our north star: safely and fairly shrinking the criminal justice system.
