Shalin Brahmbhatt is a Data Analyst at Recidiviz. He's been around the social good block as a Civic Digital Fellow, a Bluebonnet Fellow, an Impact Fellow, and (he hopes) a real nice fellow too. He has worked on data dashboards to support social workers in preventing gang violence and modeled demographic data to maximize voter turnout in local elections. He also worked on the Europa mission to find life on other planets during a short stint at JPL. You can find him peering through the lens of a camera, finding the best food in the city, or trying (failing) to keep plants alive. He holds a B.S. in Electrical Engineering & Computer Sciences from UC Berkeley and still has no idea how a circuit works.
A diverse, equitable, and inclusive workplace is essential to our mission. People come to Recidiviz to contribute to an urgent cause, and to work alongside incredible coworkers who care as much as they do. To ensure that we’re building intentional products and amplifying the work of others in the reform ecosystem, we are committed to fostering a diverse team that reflects the people we serve.
We combine the efficiency of a tech company with the heart of a non-profit. Recidiviz began as a volunteer project at Google and has since grown into one of the brightest, kindest teams that civic tech has to offer. Our north star: safely and fairly shrinking the criminal justice system.
