Peter Henggeler is a security engineer at Recidiviz. Previously, he had worked in security operations at Healthwise, a nonprofit building products, and tools to improve patient outcomes. He spent the bulk of his career at MarkMonitor, a corporate domain registrar and DNS provider managing the domain portfolios of several of the largest companies in the world. He also is a founding member of the OWASP chapter in Boise, which is a good way to combine security talk and beer. When not working, Peter likes to escape into the woods somewhere in the mountains with his family and dogs. A graduate of Boise State and Gonzaga University, he holds degrees in Computer Science and Philosophy.
A diverse, equitable, and inclusive workplace is essential to our mission. People come to Recidiviz to contribute to an urgent cause, and to work alongside incredible coworkers who care as much as they do. To ensure that we’re building intentional products and amplifying the work of others in the reform ecosystem, we are committed to fostering a diverse team that reflects the people we serve.
We combine the efficiency of a tech company with the heart of a non-profit. Recidiviz began as a volunteer project at Google and has since grown into one of the brightest, kindest teams that civic tech has to offer. Our north star: safely and fairly shrinking the criminal justice system.
