Alexa Batino is a Software Engineer at Recidiviz. Previously, she was a Software Engineering Intern at Recidiviz before working full-time as a Software Engineer at Lyft. At Lyft, Alexa primarily worked with an event-driven approach to mitigate negative experiences on driver-initiated canceled rides. When she’s not working, you can find Alexa at a concert, shooting film photography, or laying in one of SF’s many parks while doing the NYT crossword. She holds a B.S. Computer Science from Cornell University and a special place in her heart for autumns (not winters!) in Ithaca.
A diverse, equitable, and inclusive workplace is essential to our mission. People come to Recidiviz to contribute to an urgent cause, and to work alongside incredible coworkers who care as much as they do. To ensure that we’re building intentional products and amplifying the work of others in the reform ecosystem, we are committed to fostering a diverse team that reflects the people we serve.
We combine the efficiency of a tech company with the heart of a non-profit. Recidiviz began as a volunteer project at Google and has since grown into one of the brightest, kindest teams that civic tech has to offer. Our north star: safely and fairly shrinking the criminal justice system.
